Baby and Toddler Supplies

Updated October 19, 2007

There are tons of baby products that everyone says you absolutely must have and others that you will be told to avoid.

Start researching the products you wish to buy as soon as you discover that you're pregnant. There are so many things out there and there is so much to know about each product. A good place to start is the JPMA list of certified manufacturers web site, and avoid products that are not JPMA certified if possible.

Next to most items on checklists is my suggested quantity to buy. For items that need to be washed, I try to suggest how many you need per day. This way you can decide how many you need to buy total. If you only do your washing once every few days or so, you'll need more. If you wash more frequently, you can go with the minimum.
